Leadership Trainers, Ed and Dottie Bahrenburg

Ed and I joined GWRRA in 1999 when we purchased our first Gold Wing which was a Pearl Green-Pearl Gray GL 1500 SE.

Our home Chapter is NY-Y in Binghamton, New York. We held several positions in Chapter Y:

• 2000 – Treasurer
• 2000 – Chapter Couple of the Year
• 2001 – Assistant Chapter Director
• 2002-2003 – Chapter Director

We joined the NY District Staff in 2000-2001 when we became the District Couple of the Year and the District‘s first Webmaster. We served as District Couple of the Year Coordinators in 2001 and became District Trainers in 2002.

In 2003 we became the Region Trainers and held that position until July 2007. In October 2006 we became the District Directors for New York and held that position until Sept 2009 when we decided to become JAM’s (Just A Member). November 15, 2009, we returned to the position of Region Trainer.

We both ride GL 1800’s. Ed rides a 2004 Red while Dottie rides a 2002 yellow Trike and. We are both Level 4 Riders and believe strongly in the Rider Education program. We are also both Master Instructors in the Leadership training Division and just became Officer Certification Program trainers.

Dottie is a retired teacher and has been retired for a few years. Ed is a newly retired banker and learning how to have fun with all his free time. We have a son who is married and lives in Jersey City, NJ, and a daughter who is married and lives in Wharton, NJ. We spend a great deal of our time traveling in our 5th wheel Toy Haulers and attending GWRRA events. We are having a lot of fun meeting GWRRA members from all over the United States. Our GWRRA family seems to grow every day!
