Dave and Crystal Godin, Assistant Region Directors

We are Dave and Crystal Godin, the Northeast Region B Assistant Directors. We have held this position since August 1, 2009. We joined the GWRRA family in May 2004 after we purchased our first Goldwing, a 2004 Magenta Metallic GL1800. We called Chapter G in Northern New Jersey our home chapter and were appointed Assistant Chapter Directors in June 2005. Dave also took on the role as Ride Coordinator and Crystal was the Public Relations point person and assisted with membership enhancement for the chapter.  Slowly but surely the number of chapter members grew and the number of bikes going out for rides was increasing.  In the spring of 2006, Crystal orchestrated what was to be an all female basic motorcycle course and several co-riders in Chapter G got their licenses and started to ride their own bikes. In July that year for Wing Ding XXVIII we had over 30 members travel to Nashville. In January 2008, we stepped up as Chapter Directors and promoted chapter visitation and the Couple of the Year program within our chapter.  In 2009, our accomplishments in the Chapter included the June Agee Memorial Newsletter Award for the First Quarter of 2009, District and Region Chapter of the Year for 2008, 2^nd place for the International Chapter of the Year 2008 and to have first chapter couple in chapter G’s history to partake in the selection process to become District Couple. We are Level IV Master Tour Riders. Dave still rides his 2004 Goldwing and pulls a matching Escapade Elite trailer, along with a 2003 Blue Valkyrie. Crystal latest ride is a 2008 Metallic Red Roadsmith GL 1800 Trike. We enjoy travelling, but work does get in the way. We still work full time, Dave as a construction manager for Target Corporation and works in the NY,NJ and PA area. Crystal is an RN clinical coordinator at a same day surgery center in Morristown, New Jersey.  The majority of their time is spent in New Jersey but home is New Hampshire.
